Hi,
Can anyone tell me if we can still offer hosted Delavo accounts if we have a minimum of a VPS server as John mentioned in his announcements? I recently looked at the experts page and all but one of them seem to have completely different offers than before. I was in process of getting a VPS server to try to make my Delavo work for me and start earning from it.
Also I would like to know how to go about getting certified as a Delavo Angel please.
Thanks.
Stuart

You can only offer Delavo hosted accounts if you have the Roles
privilege. That was taken out with Delavo 2.xx so if you have Delavo 1.6,
then yes you can offer hosted accounts.
You need to demonstrate that you are a POWER user of Delavo. Currently
there are only 4 of us that qualify as Delavo Angels.

Hi Donna,
Thanks for your response.
Can you please define what you mean by 'power user'.
Thanks.

But I think you can be a Delavo certified web host or something like that. I'm probably not using the right terminology.
By the way, there has got to be a way for someone to purchase or request a test to get certified. If there's none maybe there should be :)

A "power" user is someone that knows Delavo inside and out and can set
up any kind of procedure and/or combination of procedures from very
simple to very complicated.
A power user knows how to set up ALL payment processors.
And also knows everything that is possible and what is impossible to do in
Delavo.
For example: Changing the Delavo logo to a logo specific for the customer.
Another: Changing the Delavo interface to look like the customer's site.
Another example: Getting Delavo and WP to "talk" to one another.
For a list of what I use to test my agents go to

Yes, if you have a DEDICATED server, you can ask to be a Delavo certified
hosting provider. But that is completely different then being a certified
Delavo Angel.
I did suggest a certification progarm in the beginning but could not get it
going mainly because of the cost and time to set it up. And it would be
very time consuming to have anyone create it and then admin it.
With the time involved administering the test and then grading it, the cost
would be very high to the person wanting to be certified. In my estimation
I would need to charge a minimum of $497 per person wanting to take the
test. And that is not counting the thousands of dollars I would need to
charge just to create it.

I wanted to inititate that certification program eventually but that cannot be done of course before it gets approved and backed by delavosecure.com owners.
