HI There,

I've got Delavo 1.1 and the F1.18 plugin package and I can not seem to find the modules that let me intergrate my delavo with Simple Machine forum or the other systems.
How do I find these, where are they located?

Some help would be greatly appreciated

Jeff

HHHMMmmmm...

I just installed F1.18, and when I go to Store -> Integration with 3rd party script I don't have anything. Is that due to being a new user, not a Fantasos user?

Or... because I have not upgraded to Delavo 1.1 yet?

Thanks for the input! ;D

Hi Arthur,

Have you received your plugins pack?

If so - did you upload them the specified folder?

From the best of my knowledge they would show up for either v1.0 or v1.1 - but it is always a good idea to upgrade anyway.

Hi Brian... I think I answered my own question.

When I went to the 1.1 upgrade page and read what it included/fixed, etc. It stated the ContePass, etc. I am uopgrading to 1.1 now.

Not to change topic... but I did the auto upgrade from within Delavo. It stated it could take several minutes and not to leave the page, refresh, etc.

The page went blank, and status bar on the bottom states Done. (As the page has finished loading) Should I refresh now, to see if the upgrade took? Or will it refresh itself automatically every-so-often with status?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Hi Arthur,

It sounds like it did update - You can tell by going to the update page again if at the top of the block it says DELAVO - Version then yes it has updated if it says DELAVO - Version 1.0 it has not - then try again.

Nope.... Doesn't look like it took. Still shows Delavo Verion-1.0

I went to the manual upgarde area... downloaded the package. To install manually, do I just upload, then go to mysite/delavo-upgrade.cgi?

Thanks again for the fast response!

Hi Arthur,

Yes upload 3 files to your public_html directory (all except for the install file) - chmod the upgrade cgi to 755 and run it.

Remember to delete the files when done.

Hi again Brian,

I have some curious things going on! I did a manual upgrade. Went through Fine this time. (I did see a autoupgrade error log when I FTP'd in)

After the manual upgrade, when I went to Store -> Integration with 3rd party script I still could not see "ContePass" and "TDM2". And these are now part of the core package according to John.

MODULE: 3rd party script integration modules for Turbo Download Manager and Contepass are now included into the DELAVO core version and are loaded for free upon the upgrade

I noticed that the V1.1 upgrade included a delavo-install.zip so I thought maybe it somehow needed to be installed. It is smart enough to know it already there. Well, since I had not made many changes to the initial install, I dumped my database, and did a brand new fresh install. (It is the new V1.1 BTW)

I then installed my new f1.18 package... and NOPE. No "ContePass" and "TDM2" in the Store -> Integration with 3rd party script area.

I'm wondering if my server somehow blocks the installation of certain items. Not sure yet. Looks like a ticket to the helpdesk may be in order.

Any thoughts on your end?

Hi Arthur,

Hmmm...

Looks like a ticket job.

As I already had the full 1.18 version when I upgraded to Delavo, I have not bought the 1.18 upgrade package for my clean install of the junior version and I have not been asked by anyone to do this install.

However on saying that I have not seen any other reports of the 1.18 installation not working (apart from above).

Only other thing I would mention is to double check that you have loaded the 1.18 package to the correct folder.

OK... My Bad!

I didn't dig deep enough. To see this options, you need to actually select ADD NEW, then when that screen comes up, you can select ContePass or TDM2 on the add new record screen.

Being a new user, I assumed (You know what happens when you assume) I would see it on the initial screen that says integration with 3rd party scripts!

Thanks for all the help!

Hi Arthur,

Excellent - glad you got it sorted.

Right! That's what I thought was happening as I was reading your first couple of replies, Arthur.
I went to check on my own installation after reading what Donna had posted.
I realized the instruction should have been:

Go to 'Store' | '3rd Party Scripts' | 'Add new'
THEN click on the dropdown for '3rd-party scripts'

So, as yet, I've been unable to upgrade to version 1.1, and therefore, I only see TDM2 and ContePass.

Perhaps I should begin a new thread or participate in a different existing one, since this one is more about the F1.18 package?

(I guess this is as good a place as any since the topic is floating around between Delavo upgrades and F1.18 package installations.)

When I went to my Delavo installation and clicked 'Help' | 'Check version', I first went with 'Upgrade now manually' because I wanted to heed John's consideration for newer Turbo members. Immediately, the authentication dialog appeared and I entered the username/password combination given to me in the welcome email (which is the familiar one I have for, essentially, everything,) and it wouldn't accept it.

Then I tried the 'Upgrade now automatically' by giving it my familiar u/p combo, and waited for about three minutes. The message returned was something to the effect, "...username not recognized... 401 Authentication required"

I know for sure that when I initially got on the list, and throughout the entire process, I'd been using the same u/p combo.

So, I submitted a support ticket because I couldn't get access to this forum either; and that was another issue.

John replied with a link that took me directly to the page where I could download the ver. 1.1 upgrade, and I got into that successsfully and downloaded it, BUT, I needed a refresher on which files to upload, etc., so I looked in the helpdesk's knowledgebase and found the topic "Delavo upgrade error,' which gives a link to the instructions page that I'm looking for, BUT, it requires authentication and THAT'S again, where I get locked out!

SO, I noticed Brian mentioned in this thread that you don't need to upload the delavo-install.zip file; just the other three.
(So what is it doing in there, and what's in it? OH! I get it! It's the original install file, and since we're only upgrading, then there's no need to have the entire thing overwritten, I guess?)

Okay, so I just overwrite the existing three files in my delavo folder, making sure to upload them in BINARY mode, right?
Then, I CHMOD the delavo-install.cgi file to 755, right?
Then I need to put in my browser's address bar: http://y.com/delavo/delavo-upgrade.cgi, right??
and go from there?

And thank you Brian, for mentioning the part about deleting the files. I had forgotten about that.
Which ones? All three of them?

I hope I've made myself clear,
Thanks everybody!

Mitch

Hi Mitch,

Yes - the three that you uploaded (plus the install file if it is still there).

Wrong URL
The page you are looking for was not found.

So I got the three files uploaded to my delavo folder in binary mode, changed the permissions to delavo-install.cgi to 755, and then went and fed http://y.com/delavo/delavo-upgrade.cgi into my browser address bar, and that's the error I got. I loaded my Delavo and noticed it still says Delavo - Version 1.0

Are you sure it's the delavo-upgrade.cgi file that goes into the address bar?

Or what?

Thanks,

Hi Mitch, I have taken out the reference to the domain hosting company!

Hi Mitch,

If you want to upgrade - it is the delavo-upgrade file you have to chmod to 755.

Hi Mitch,

Additionaly, the files should be uploaded to your public_html directory and run through the browser there.

http://y.com/delavo-upgrade.cgi

Not

http://y.com/delavo/delavo-upgrade.cgi

Brian

Brian, I have taken out the domain hosting path!

Hey Mitch,

After you go to delavo-upgrade.cgi (In the root folder as Brian pointed out) It may tell you it need to update the database... Click OK... When it completes it will tell you the upgrade completed successfully. Then when you go back into your Delavo and check it will say delavo-version. (You won't see the version number any longer)

Mitch Powell

DUH!

That's what I forgot!

So I now uploaded the three files into the ROOT directory, changed the permissions on the delavo-upgrade.cgi file to 755, and then loaded that into the command line.

The response asked which directory, and I entered 'delavo'.

An error came back that read:

Failed to unpack delavo-install.zip.
The file is corrupted during upload or missing.

So I took a look at my delavo installation anyway, to see if maybe the upgrade had taken, and the error message was just a trivial side-effect.

My delavo now has no CSS or images.

So should I also upload the install file and try again?

Thanks,
Mitch

P.S. This just in, (while I was composing this) Thanks, Arthur, but I didn't get that line about wanting to update the database; and thanks for the warning for what it reads about 'Version' without any version number.

[UPDATE: I went ahead and uploaded the delavo-install.zip file and ran delavo-upgrade.cgi again, and it asked for the directory, which I entered, and it was successful this time! I clicked on the refresh templates link and then went to check on my installatation. I went to Help | Check version, and looked to see that it indeed said, "Delavo Version" with no number after it.

Thanks, guys. I think I'm good to go now!
[ANOTHER UPDATE: I spoke too soon. The 3rd-party scripts I expected to see after pulling the dropdown open from Store | #rd Party Scripts | Add new,

The only two there are still ContePass and TDM2.

Now what?

Hi Mitch,

Have you uploaded all the third party scripts to the secfeats folder?
