View Full Version : Upgrade to V1.1 seems to not have taken

I have a bunch of uncertainties which I hope people can help me resolve.

I just installed the F1.18 package (I think! There's just a single file, pack_f1.dat, right?).

However, even though I just installed it, I seem to be on the non-latest version (1.0). Shouldn't I have been given the latest version to instal? (The version #s seem to refer to the Plugins/Packages rather than Delavo itself, I think...)

With the help of this forum, I tracked down the username/password I needed for the upgrade, and set it off. I got the message it was upgrading, and then after some time, the screen just want blank and the browser message at the bottom left said "Done".

I navigated back to the Upgrade Page (after logging out then in again), but it still says I'm on Version 1.0 (not just "Version" as mentioned in an earlier discussion about upgrading).

I repeated the processs with the same results.

Any ideas of the problem? Or should I raise a support ticket?

Finally - am I right in thinking that ALL the available documentation is in the Master and Member areas on the Delavo.com site? I was expecting some F1.18-specific documentation.

Thanks for any insights/clarifications.

P.S. A comment on another thread about there not being any "What & Why" documentation, only "How To". That's a major gripe I have with the majority of technical documentation (John isn't out of line with the norm here!), along with a significant proportion of "Internet Marketing Guides". The focus is almost entirely on the "practical step-by-step guidance" without wasting time on "theory"!

Looks like I'm not the only person to have problems using the automatic upgrade facility.

Describes exactly the same issue I am having.

It would be good to have some authoritative response to this.

I'm going to try the manual upgrade.

Automatic wasn't working for me too.

So i did the manual upgrade.

But version check still shows 1.0.

Is there a way to verify my installation has upgraded properly to 1.1?

Hi Michael,

I have just performed an auto upgrade (from version 1.1 already) and it was fine - it now actually shows DELAVO - Version 1.1 - perhaps there were some connection issues for you, also double check on the manual upgrade that you are running the upgrade.cgi from the root directory.

I run the upgrade and the cgi correctly (even refeshed templates).

Still version check shows 1.0

So is there another way to verify the version?

Hi Michael,

I am sorry but the only other thing I can suggest is to contact the help desk with your installation details (cPanel - domain - Delavo installationdirectory) and ask them to look at it.
