View Full Version : Auto Delavo Emails and Short URL Pro

Two things... I mentioned these in the previous post, but they probably were overlooked...

Customers are not receiving the login codes email unless it's a brand new customer... if it's a returning customer and I have the "Send login codes to Delavo" checked at the Product level... still no go.

Also, as I use the Short URL Pro for limiting the number of downloads, this is wayyyyyy too cumbersome for the customer. I was testing it out and the customer has to login with their codes... ok, that's a bit much, but works ok... the problem occurs if they are a new customer, it prompts them to change their password. So, I ran that through and once I change the password, it just sits there in Delavo and the download process stops adding yet ANOTHER step for the customer to get to their download.

Anyway to shorten this process?

Is the email enabled in the Tools/Emails? That would be at:
USER: Login codes sent upon purchase

For the other, I don't think there is a way to shorten the process unless you just use Short URL instead of Short URL Pro.

Yes, I have the email "enabled"... or not checked as "disable this email."

Short URL would not work to limit the number of downloads... the only method is the Short URL Pro, but again, not very workable. I want to use the limited number of downloads to lessen my customer service (rather than limited time... or increasing the time before expiration of the link), not increase the customer service issues.

... any other thoughts on either one of these issues?

Here is the official answer from the support people at Construct Zero in regards to this issue...

Here is their response:
They're really sorry, but they're not sure if they can help with this! If you think this is a "shortage" of the script, it would be better to discuss it within the Delavo's Forum and post a feature/change request there.


So, using the Short URL Pro for limiting the number of downloads does not work well. If someone has another idea, let me know. I will post this issue in the suggestion area.
