Hi,
I searched the whole forum, but couldn't find anyone having this problem til now:
I've set up a package and product with external homepage and clicking directly through the links in the package display it works perfectly, but clicking on the embedied order link (available from the package display) on the external homepage (same server) I get following error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /<script src="http:/somesite.com/center/order/init_package_inc.txt on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8i DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at sitez.info Port 80
Can anybody tell me how to fix that?
Thank you,
Juergen

Did you installed the special javascript call into your order pages?
What order link are you clicking on?
You can PM for your site details.

No, I used the default templates without changing anything.
I'll insert the javascript code now and see how it works.
Thank you, Andre!

Hello Andre,
Now I have another problem. I don't find out how to insert the javascript into the default order pages. When I change the editor to html, it is empty. There is not even a body tag and also no Delavo tags.
Most probably I'm missing here something simple, but I don't find that explained neither in the manual nor in the videos.
To answer your previous question more clearly: The problem occures when I click the order link which I obtained from the package display of Delavo (inc) as explained in the video and inserted on my external homepage.
Hope it is understandable?

I'm sorry I didn't express clearly when I said order page
I meant the pages where you present your product, the
sales page.
You do not have to insert any code on the order page
template. Now it seems like you have something wrong
there as well if you don't see codes in the HTML editor.

Hello Andre,
A few things are clarified now:
The problem with the html editor was because my Opera browser is not compatible with the plugin used by Delavo. I work now delavo with firefox and this problem is solved.
I also found the order link by clicking in the package view on "view", but now for what is the other link beside that which is called "inc". In the video it was explained that I should take the order link from there to embed it in my sales page. Can you explain me how this works?
Thank you,
Juergen

Hi Juergen,
The inc link once embeded in your page takes a customer direct to the order page and will ask for the customer e-mail on your sales/order page as well as listing the products that are in that package therefore skipping the first step of the Delavo process.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your reply. I understand that it should do what you say, but it doesn't in my case. I get following error code from my server:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /sqpgsmpl/<script src="https:/site.info/center/order/init_package_inc.txt on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Thanks again,

Hi Juergen,
No I am sorry I cannot help with this, the errors you are being given are specific to your server - before my previous post I did check that this works on one of my servers - the best thing I can suggest is to advise your host of the error message and the minimum requirments needed for Delavo to run.

Thanks Brian!
I could resolve the problem with forbidden access with Hostgator staff, but they can't help with the 404 error which is still coming. It must be the Delavo script which is producing this code. I just can't find what is missing - everything else seems to work perfectly, also the order link when I use the other option "view".

Hi Juergen,
As this is the situation then as long as you host with Hostgator - do not use the inc order link and use the standard one instead.

The embed code works perfectly on my servers and I am getting no errors.
I tried this with all 7 of my Delavo installations on 4 different servers and
never got an error for any. However, I have had such bad experiences
in the past with Hostgator that none of my installs are hosted with them.
But because I have no errors and tested 7 times, I believe as Brian does,
that the problem is with them.
And as for why I have 7 installs, I had 3 Fantasos licenses (1 my own and
2 with business partners) plus I downloaded an extra Delavo while it was
free. 1 install is for writing manuals, 1 install is for writing help files, and 1
install is for workshops. :)
