Well everything went well with the delevo install but it is yards behind the old jvm1 I am using and to bring delavo up to the features the old jvm1 provided will cost over $1000.

I utilized the one time offers, the api membership check, affiliate groups, and jv partners systems available to jvm1 yet they are not with delevo and would set me back over a months income to upgrade to those features.

So I am disappointed that once again the cuts down version for free is being used as a revenue raiser and marketing tool.

So I am stuck with an older version that has been working well after some initial teething problems plus some idiosyncrasies that needed a work around.

Hi,

As much as I love my old JVM-1 - the basic Delavo with a couple of plugins would give you all you need.

Although the best value is the 1.18 package - the plugins are available separately too.

So much for delavo as it would cost over us$1000 to upgrade it to do what I do with jvm1 now and as I am barely making anything online it is not justifiable for me.

It seems this was just a marketing ploy to boost sales as the jvm2 sales at the asking price was not really affordable to small webmasters now he gives away a very basic core and charges similar prices for the plug ins.

So bye bye to all and I will delete my delevo installation as it is inadequate.

Once again John is pandering to the more fortunate people so none of us the poorer can afford the real deal with that system. (Last time I dared to say that about jvm2 he kicked me off all sites even where I had pad for life membership so maybe this time he will not)

Hi Stan,

Although JVM-1 is still a good system, it is not supported anymore (except by myself and a couple of others) nor will there be any updates.

I would not presume to say why John decided to market Delavo in the way that he has - but I do see it as giving webmasters the opportunity to use the system for free.

A huge percentage of users do not need anything more than is included in the core system (I have a vanilla core system installed and it is already producing income for a membership site).

The cost of keeping up with technology has never been low and is unlikely to change that trend.

Although the plugins are necessary for some of the additional marketing techniqes, not all of them are required - depends on your business model.

I have ALL of the plugins released up to the 1.18 version of Fantasos on my main installation and to be honest can only use about half of them (time pressures and different business models).

Buying the 1.18 package is still a good deal for the plugins that may be needed in the future and buying individual plugins is good to match your business model.
