Hi John,
I have had a look at the directory structure in Delavo (TM) and see that there is a lot of necessary stuff there already especially for TDM2 and Contepass - both of which I own - what and where do I need to buy to get the 3rd party script functionality added to the basic Delavo (TM) package?

I noticed on the Welcome page of the news (http://delavo.com/news/welcome/) if you
go down a bit and read there it states:
"You can also select “Plugins” on the “Store” section to view the available “silver bullets”
you can load DELAVO with."
I then went to the Store tab up top and it only shows T-Shirts at the moment, so this
must be something that will be added in the (hopefully not to distant) future.

Hi Robert,
Yeah - that was the first place I headed first thing this morning to spend some money :-)
I am covered anyway at the moment through my Fantasos (TM) installation for everything released up to the last version - the first thing that I won't have covered though is the WP plugin which I would love to get my hands on A.S.A.P.

Brian, since you're a Fantasos customer you should get access to all the plugins that give you "equivalent" functionality to your current Fantasos install without having to pay for them.. at least that's what John had said before the release. I don't know where you'd download those plugins though since I'm not a Fantasos customer myself (I guess I'll just have to buy any plugins that might be useful to me.. lol)

Yeah the WP Plugin is what we look and sought after ;)
How do we set roles in Delavo? seems that function is not available even coupons :)

Hi Steven,
Yes, I had that option but decided for a lot of reasons that I would build a new installation based on Delavo (tm) and basically run the two systems side by side for a while until/if I make a changeover.

Hi Dee - at some point I guess it will be a plugin.

Wow
Over $900 for the plugins as one package to bring it up to jvm2 standard.
Was this just a ploy to get more people to buy JVM2 of was it a genuine effort to help us less fortunate?
If it was the second why not charge say $99 for a small group of plugins like say the shopping cart and minisite system.
That $997 price when translated into my currency is over a month's income so I will wait and see if delavo offers grouped or a selection of addons with individual prices.
Otherwise I will revert to my jvm1 as it still has more features than Delavo although it is not so user friendly!
Dissappointed!

Stan, that's $997 for one package of plugins that brings Delavo up to the same standard of functionality as a script that cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,000. I can't say I have that kind of money to put into it right now, but if I did that would be an amazing deal.
If you don't want to spend the $997 and don't need all the functionality of Fantasos, just wait, John already said he's going to release those plugins individually for those of us who want to piece together the functionality we need.

Hi Stan,
As said, John will be releasing the new plugins in smaller chunks too.
Considering the cost of Fantasos when it finished (without a lot of the plugins) $2997 - $997 for everything is a bargain - there are quite a few of us trying to push a few more sales to get a hold of this.
Incidentally, the Basic Delavo covers the needs of most marketers with the possible exception of oto's and roles that allow Delavo to compete with JVM-1.

You don't have to buy the plugin. It's optional.
...I have an idea.
Let us know what you're trying to achieve and we'll tell you....
- if plugin-less Delavo can do it, or
- if you need a specific plugin for it to work
...then decide.

I think the initial shock of seeing the $900 price tag on one purchase is a major commitment. BUT i dont think its not achievable. JVM1 is Brilliant but with no support now, and getting access to delavo then this should be a good step for people. Starting with nothing and being shocked at the price you can use delavo to make more sales, upsell using your autoresponder, cross promote using the autoresponder, build your affiliates, setup low cost/free products/100% Commission products to get people to join your program if consistent you will bypass the $900 mark and wont think twice about getting either the package upgrade or indivdual mods you want for your setup.
Thats my thought anyway (My Shrink says i'm cured so I can think any madness I want and I think its normal)

I hope that the individual plugins do not end up costing an arm and a leg. I just need the OTO, Mini Sites, Rebrandable PDF and Custom Tags. By the way, the last two are not even covered on the $995 package. So probably even if I by the package, I will need to expend around $300 dollars more if prices for plugins are similar as for Fantasos ($147).

DELAVO plug-in 1.1 was announced today but as usual, it takes a treasure hunt to find the thingl I don't care what their names are as much as what they do, when and why.

Hi Bud,
The 1.1 is an upgrade from 1.0 - not a plugin - it has had some functionality enabled to accept the plugins when they become available.

I wonder why people are upset about the $997 plugins set. My question was: Did you buy Fantasos at $2997? Or you get yours at $197+ during the JVM1 era?
Well, I got mine at special rate of $200+ (instead of $1997) during the era of JVM1 days and I'm fortunate that John has been very gracious to allow us to upgrade to Fantasos.
So is it unreasonable to charge at $997? I don't think so.

I've spent thousands of $$ with John, it hasn't always been easy to come up with the money (well, actually it was, now I have to pay the CC company!). But, in return, I've leaned a bunch, one of which is that John is generous and true to his word.
I bought JVM way back when, tested it for a while and decided it wasn't for me. Got my money back as advertised. Tried other "systems", spent more $$. Now I'm back following John. Still not making any real money but that's going to stop soon. I've wasted too much time trying things and holding back, rather then DOING!
Back when I was working as an Engineer with the WA DOT we called it "Analysis Paralysis". Spending too much time analyzing and testing that you never get the job done.
I have one membership site up and running but I'm NOT really happy with it, may never be! But I am getting a few $$ with it every month. Now for more!!
