Testimonial plugin - Change date format?

I have been using the Testimonial plugin:

it puts the date as DD/MM/YY.

1) is there a way to change it to MM/DD/YY?

also the plug-in uses the tag #{comment}

2) is there a way to control the WIDTH to this or find out how it is defined?

It messes up my template - the middle goes wider than the header and trailer.

Everything in Delavo is DD/MM/YYYY just as it was in Fantasos.
There is no way to change it as it is programmed in.

Sorry i don't know anything about th comment tag.
