View Full Version : Delavo in page title

Hi,

I really want to make my Delavo setup my own formula. Especially since I a want to sell hosted accounts. I have been able to do so exept for a couple of pages where the title of the page is "Delavo". Pages where this occurs are:

login page
welcome page (member and master)

I have been searching where the script gets this title from, but not been able to find it. Is this something that can be customized or is the Delavo title there to stay?

Kind regards,

Theo

Hi Theo,

Generally if it can be changed it will be in the Tools/templates/header/footer templates section.

Nope. That's the thing you see. The page title is created by a piece of code (<title>#{HTMLTitle}</title>) that can't be changed. Otherwise the product pages etc. will show the wrong title.

I just can't find where the Delavo title comes from on the login and welcome pages. I even checked the whole database.

H Theo,

Did you check the CSS files for the header/footer template you are using?

Hi Brian,

Yup, I had a look through both CSS files in skins/headfoot/delavo. There's a lot of delavo there but nothing in capitals like in the displayed title.

What struck me though is that there is a title.txt file there that only had the text DELAVO in it. So I thought I had found it. I changed it to my site name but nothing happened.

So if it is not in the database, not in the CSS files, and not in the templates it must be in the php files somewhere. I did a crtl F search on most files that looked slightly relevant. But zip, nada, nothing.

Hence my question to the forum.

Theo

On the login/welcome pages it is there to stay.

You can change on the order and thank you pages though bu changing it
on the Package interface at HTML headers section and also by editing the
templates.

Hmmm, shame. Even Mike Filsaime lets you create your own site without any reference to the scirpt in use.

Perhaps we can request somewhere the ability to change this?

It would possibly help our "customers" with bookmarking us in their browsers, eh?

So's to avoid confusion between other "Delavo" installations/sites, and keeping it simple (KISS) for the user...

Just a thought/vote for the "fix"...

Be Well!

P.S. I had asked support about this, and didn't get this much of an answer, the forum ROCKS!

Hi Dave,

The feature request sub-forum would be the ideal place to request this.
