View Full Version : Locking some functions of product for Reseller(2)

I'm hoping someone can provide some guidance. I have set up a product that I hope to have sold by what Fantasos called Reseller(2). The official Fantasos manual for setting up a reseller's program says that things in the main section of the product set-up can be locked in the reseller license (like the price). I have a licensed version of Delavo (on my domain) with v.F1.18 plugins installed.

I do not see any way to lock any of the main section fields of the product nor any place to add a lock in the reseller's license set up.

Does anyone know if this still can be done; and, if so, how? I created a product in a one click package; I created a reseller role and created a product to deliver the reseller role and attached the role where appropriate. I tested by creating a test reseller. When the test reseller added the license in the member's area, the product was loaded, but the reseller had the ability to edit the product completely.

I don't want the reseller to be able to edit the product at all. I just want the reseller to be able to set up his/her own payment gates and sales pages (and ultimately pay me royalties).

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks, John Geary

Hi John,

That facility was discontinued in Fantasos before the Delavo system I'm afraid - the best way currently to achieve what you want is as a "super" affiliate (allowing 100% commissions) package, which makes the product conform to your needs and attach a reseller program/affiliate role to that product to track sales and percentages.

Thanks, Brian.

When I think about it, I don't really need to have the product assigned to the reseller license locked as long as the reseller understands that if s/he ultimately sells the product for more or less than what I have set as the suggested price for the product, the reseller must still pay me the agreed falt-rate or percentage royalty established in the license.

John

Royalties is the section you need to use.
Included to the F1.18 package.
