View Full Version : Question About Plugins

Hi,
I just have a few questions about the plugins and just wanted to clarify some things if anyone can answer.
I'm running Delavo 1.1 but do NOT have the F1.18 package... Does that mean I can still purchase and install individual plugins? The F 1.18 package price at just under a grand is a little more than I have to commit to this script right now even though I'm sure it is worth it.... But I do see a couple plugins that look like I need right away and can later add more.
If I can purchase and install individual plugins when I choose... where do I also find, or which ones will work for Kunaki Fullfilment, the shopping carts, and also adding users to an autoresponder module that purchase or download certain products? I notice that those are listed on the F 1.18 package but they are not listed on the plugin checkout page (unless I'm missing it)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure I'm not putting the cart before the horse.
Thanks.

Hi Nathan,
In the list of individual plugins there are notes against plugins that require another plugin to work at all.
As the Kunaki plugin is currently not in that list of individual plugins I can tell you for sure that it will require the shipping module also at least (possibly also the questionnaire plugin) - there are many dependencies which is why the 1.18 package is the preferable way to go.
Note: If you are a turbo member a discount is available for the 1.18 pack.

Thanks Brian for the reply. I'll see what I can do, think right now the upsell and oto plugin may work for me but would like to get the whole 1.18 package. I'm not a turbo member (yet) but will consider. Really liking this Delavo setup though, so simple.
While in discussion (I can post this elsewhere if needed) there are just a couple of other things I'm wondering, maybe you have an answer or can direct me to some documentation...
1. I have an aWeber account. Is there a way that when I set up a free product in Delavo that upon entering their email it can also subscribe that person to an autoresponder in aweber? Or vice versa... if I offer the download via the aweber optin form, can that same subscriber also be automatically posted to my delavo users without them needing to enter their email address multiple times in multiple forms? Down the road I'd like to be able to integrate as much automated follow up as possible even after purchases have been made.
2. This is kind of a random question but I noticed when setting up a remote membership it protects the directory, but when visiting the site I only get a pop up box to login... but no actual login PAGE. If I hit cancel then it gives me a Authorization Error page - no 404 page found etc etc....
Is there a simple way to fix this so that the user actually has some options? Like instead of logging in through the box it could also show some additional info like "Forgot Password?" or "Not yet a member? Sign up now" This would be very helpful for people that stumble on the page or have forgotten their password. I'd like to make things as least bit confusing as possible for visitors. A logout link would also be helpful.
Anyway thanks again.

Hi Nathan,
1. The Aweber plugin is specifically designed to automatically sign up the user in an aweber list, once a user enters their e-mail address they have an account based on criteria that you set - i.e. do they automatically become an affiliate too - they do not have to fill in their details a number of times - once inside Delavo the user's details are brought back each time the enter their e-mail address they initially used (and a single password) for all future interaction with Delavo.
Automation and Centralization is what Delavo excel's at - to give you an example - you can use a free signup process that store the user's details based on e-mail address, sends the e-mail info to aweber and aweber sends out the double optin confirmation request automatically, then add that user to your forum, free membership, points vault and assign them various priveleges based on the user entering one piece of information - their e-mail address - please note that some of the processes above require extra plugins - all of the above is before they even get to an upsell or oto and download their free product or enter their free membership.
2. There are many ways to order your membership sites - Delavo Core simply protects the membership forlder - you can use anything inside that protected area from a single index page to a complete minisite. Their are also other scripts or plugins to other scripts that you can use - like Contepass, John's Little Script For Running A Membership Site, Wordpress, Drupal, No More Grey Screens etc.
If you want to simply use the native Apache popup box, you should put up a page above the protected directory with sales information and a members login link and a link back to your Delavo to recover their password via e-mail.
Hope that helps.

Where would I find the aweber plugin, is that only available with the 1.18 package or can it be purchased as individual plugin also?
Thanks again!

Hi Nathan,
The link to the individual plugins is in the Delavo News Page.

Think I found it... I must have been scanning the page too fast on the plugins order page.
Looks like the aWeber/TurboResponders plugin is part of "Packages Pro" plugin for $67?
Thanks Brian for your help, lots of questions!

BTW Brian I am going to start another thread regarding protecting membership folder, I understand what you are saying about keeping sales pages and other information above protected directory but my challenge is figuring out how to set up a page that will be in place of the Apache popup box.
