Hello,
I'm just wondering if anyone might have some advise?
I'm creating a membership site and have had a Drupal theme created for the site...
This was before I received Delavo.
Do you think it is best to use Drupal with Delavo - or is it a better idea to create
the whole membership with Delavo?
I have the 1.18 plugin package along with the plugins that came with Delaverian Marketing.
Any advice would be appreciated :)
Thanks,
Nick Teetzel
P.S. Delaverian Marketing is taking over my life ... "in a good way."

Hi Nick,
Some general advice - not only for you but this applies to others too.
The most difficult decision for a membership site is how to keep it supplied with content (if it is recurring) and whether it can attract and keep paying customers.
The protection of the membership site and the way the content is delivered, I believe is secondary.
I would always advise that to get the best return on your investment to use the resources you already have unless they do not meet the specific requirements that you may have for a project.
If Drupal is the delivery (protection) method that meets your requirements then yes get the plugin.

That's great Brian!
I think I can apply the graphics from my theme
to any system that would be best for the site.
What you said about the content delivery makes
a lot of sense - That's what I'm looking for - a system
that I'm able to add content - be it posts or downloadable
products.
Where I get confused is adding the stuff like the sales
pages - and download pages into systems like Drupal.
I think I have a learning curve with Drupal (actually I'll
have a learning curve with everything) - but I'm sure it
will be worth the extra effort where needed.
Thank you for your input - that helps a lot :)

Here's what I'd suggest you try, indeed trying to use the tools you already have is great advice Brian gave you.
Drupal is a great and powerful Content Management System (CMS) indeed and would be perfect to manage the content of a membership site.
I suggest this as I haven't tried this myself but if it works it could be a great solution. Simply if you can run Drupal in a sub-folder as yoursite.com/members and then protect that folder with Delavo membership management without it interfere with the correct functioning of Drupal then you could have something great here. Drupal to manage your membership content and Delavo to manage the membership subscriptions :)
Again, I'm not sure if this will work, but I believe it is something worth the try if you have the technical knowledge to do so ... You would then use a simple HTML page in the roort folder as your sales page etc..
Good luck!

That seems like it would work Andre :)
Let's see if my thinking is correct?
I would uninstall Drupal from mysite.com - and create an HTML
page with Delavo on mysite.com - (this could be my sales page)
And then install Drupal on mysite.com/members.
I think that's what I had in mind but wasn't sure where Drupal
would be installed.
That makes sense - Awesome!
Thank you :)
