forum integration

Hello,

I've purchased both the phpbb and the smf plugins for delavo.

I am having trouble getting them integrated with delavo (I have the third party script).

Is there a manual somewhere? Seems so simple but I can't get it to work.

Hi Russ,

I am not aware of any manuals but the 3rd party scripts themselves have tips on how to setup on the setup screen - just follow these and you should be ok.

Brian is correct. There are no manuals for 3rd party scripts. And I am not
sure when or even if there will be any.

Ok, I don't know what I am doing wrong...I am filling out the following info:

Title > title
URL > http://mysite.com/forum
localhost > localhost (I know this to be correct)
dbname > phpb1 (from the mysql set up)
username > phbb1 (from the mysql set up)
password > the same password I used to set up the forum
prefix > prefix_


Can anybody see anything that I am doing wrong?

Hi Russ,

Yes - the database name and username should be in the format:

accountname_phbb1

I seem to be having an issue integrating this with phpBB. Am able to set up in Delavo admin, added as a 3rd party script, created and attached to product, and created package... but when I go through test checkout process I get to this page error AFTER I hit submit on my registration page. Does anyone know what this means, or do I need to change some settings somewhere?

Although the help desk is the best solution for technical errors, what I see would suggest that you have the forum hosted on a different server - is that correct?

Actually Brian my forum is on the same server and domain as my delavo install with Host Gator. I will send a message to the Help Desk and post what I find out, Thanks.
