What is an External Membership?

Will someone please explain what an external membership is? I understand what local and remote memberships are. I cannot find any explanation about external memberships, yet it is one of the three membership types and one that is suggested as a privilege for Platinum hosting and above.

External memberships are for exchanging membership information between Contepass and Turbo Download Manager with Delavo.

Hi John,

Both Contepass and Turbo Download Manager are capable of being run as standalone applications but have the facility built in for exchange of information to and from Delavo (Fantasos) - the external membership within Delavo connects with these specific applications.
