Hello,
I'm wondering what would be the best way to install Contepass with DELAVO & Wordpress?
If I have DELAVO installed like this - mydomain.com/delavo - and planned on installing
wordpress on mydomain.com with DELAVO...
Could I install Wordpress on the main domain and then add Contepass on the same domain
which is the path just before DELAVO?
I was thinking of adding the Wordpress plug-in and purchasing the wishlist Wordpress theme
which would be on the main domain with DELAVO mydomain.com/delavo
I have also purchased Contepass and registered it to mydomain.com but have not installed it yet.
If this makes any sense at all - do you think it would be ok? :)
Thanks,
Nick Teetzel

Hi Nick,
Hmm, based on my own installations, I would recommend that Contepass is on mydomain.com - Delavo - mydomain.com/delavo and Worpress on mydomain.com/blog (or whatever you decide to call the directories).
The main reason for this is that Contepass can control your homepage on mydomain.com and also setup the necessary redirects for any addon domains in the future.
If you are already taking sales through Delavo - please back up your domain and mySQL databases first in case of problems.

That's great!
I was trying to think of how John has his sites up as a reference
and I think it's similar to what you're saying here.
- something like this ... "I think?"
Use-sell - is Contepass
When I log-in - I'm linked to DELAVO
and Turbo Membership - or turboaffiliats.com/turbo/tm - brings us into Wordpress.
Thanks a Zillion - this helps a lot :)

Does Wordpress work with DELAVO? I've heard that Donna in one of her workshops that DELAVO crashes with Wordpress, if WP is installed in the main domain? Please advise.
Thanks!

Hi Roy,
Wordpress and Delavo work it they are correctly installed on the same domain and are designed to work together through Delavo plugins (Wordpress & Blogpublisher), I am sorry I do not have the information you mention above.
My recommendation is also above.
I am aware that Wordpress is promoted as a CMS and can handle anything that you can throw at it but to be honest Roy it is still what it should be which is an easy platform for publishing your own personal or business news on.
From an SEO point of view it is good at attracting search engines but then again a properly prepared HTML file in your root directory with both on and off page optimization is just as good and less confusing for the reason people came to your domain.
I have a combination of mixes on what I use for different sites' organization.

There is a thread here by Andre that suggests not using WP as the main
domain for security reasons.
Also what I said in the ws was not to use this way:
http://YourWordpress.com
Then Delavo at http://YourWordpress.com/delavo/
