Anyone been successful with this?

When using the 100% commission option

Admin issues a refund and everything shows correctly within the admin and affiliates area. Meaning is shows the refund. However, the refund itself within the affiliates paypal isn't issued.

Not sure what i'm missing here.

Thx.

You can't access your affiliates Paypal account to take that money
back.

That is why it is a good idea to state there is NO refund when you give
100% commissions.

I am not positive but I think it may come out of future commissions. I don't
use 100% commissions so I am not sure though.

Hi Donna,

Actually the script itself shouldn't have a problem with accessing the affiliates paypal account since it's dealing with the script transaction itself and it's not really accessing directly to the affiliates account.

PayPal Passwords are not required to access the transactions. I don't recall even adding my own PayPal password to Delavo.

It should be the same situation where when an affiliate issues a refund the delavo admin actually records it and the affiliate doesn't require admins password to access the delavo. It's basically the same but in reverse.

I'm wondering if it's required that the affiliate as well must set up his or her paypal Website Payment Preferences to reflect the domain delavo is installed.

Non of that is required of course if affiliates handle returns because Delavo will record refunds made manually by the affiliate.

There just has to be a proceedure for this.

There shouldn't be any reason why Delavo couldn't issue the refund even if the affiliates account is used.

Thx.

It is illegal to take money from someone else's account. That is called robbery :)
Thus Delavo cannot access the affiliate's Paypal account.

No one NEEDS to set up IPN or AutoReturn to Delavo. Tose instructions
are for those who have neve set them up in the past. And the
instructions apecifically say to ignore them of you already have them set
up.

Way off the mark.. I'm sure that comment wasn't specifically targeted to me personally and you where just merely stating the obvious so I'll leave it at that.

It is not illegal when Admin and JV Partners are working in conjunction with one another with agreed set terms.

I appreciate your time.

That was not directed to you, but a statement of fact.

Paypal will not allow someone to access someone else's account just as a
bank will not allow someonr to access another person's bank account.

It doesn't matter if they are your affiliate or not. Delavo cannot
automatically access their funds. That is illegal.
