Have my DELAVO and 1.18 plugins hosted at Dreamhost (as well as ContePass and TDM). All work fine, however when I try to install some of John's other scripts like "John's Little Script" I can never login. I've posted on the help desk for both John's help desk and Dreamhost with no resolution.
To prevent further problems I want to switch my DELAVO install, plugins, ContePass and possibly TDM to John's hosting and leave the "vault" (about 30GB of files) on Dreamhost. Can anyone see a problem with this?
Other than the problems with the smaller scripts of John's I've been very happy with Dreamhost but I did have to do some customization to try and run another app.

Hi Deen,
I don't see a problem if I understand correctly what you want to do.
I personally host all of video memberships at Dreamhost and my Delavo is on Liquid Web which is the same as John's hosting.

any problems either other than having to remember two different setups. Wish Dreamhost would use a standard cPanel though!!

Hi Deen,
Nope, no problems.
A couple of notes from my own setup experience.
1. If you are storing downloads on Dreamhost (or any other protected resources), use the Htaccess/WebDAV sub menu in Goodies to protect the directories first with a random username and password name using Htaccess.
2. Inside Delavo, create a remote membership (or protected download) to then link Delavo with the resources, Delavo works quite happily with the .htaccess and .passwd files in the directories on Dreamhost and my Dreamhost account at least stores them both in the same directory of the protected area.

I'm already doing #1 above and will do the 2nd after the change. Just need to decide on how to switch DELAVO to John's servers as mine is now on Dreamhost. I'll be using ContePass and TDM on John's servers for my membership sites and store the downloads on DreamHost for now as I still have a year to go on my prepaid hosting there.
