This was already requested in Fantasos, but still not fixed. Here's what I mean:

If you override form name with your own, hence get this on checkout:

(Notice I changed "Phone" form name to "110MB Username".)

But then when they see their "Affiliate settings" personal info, it goes back to "Phone":

The "Phone" should remain "110MB Username".

Problem is most replace it to their phone num. So I loose their username.

When will this be fixed?

Thank you.

Andre

This is NOT a bug

Changing a form for billing info ONLY changes the form on the 2nd order
page, no where else. It will not be changed on the affiliate settings.

Likewise, if you change the form for the registration page, that is the only
place the form will be changed, no where else.

Cool Donna.

And in addition, can we still get it to show the same form names in users "My Affiliate settings".

Point is: They replace your info. Which defies the whole purpose of form names.

What if someone replaces "Phone" with "Extra shipping instructions". Then they login, and go "Hmm! My phone number isnt 'Please mark as gift'. Let me replace it with my phone number.".

Tada. You no longer know users "Extra shipping instructions".

No you can't.

Changing the order form ONLY changes the 2nd order page.

Changing the Registration form ONLY changes that form.

You can not change anything else at all.

Still would like this if programmers could pull of this request.

What they can do is: Create another table in DB that stores names of formnames - for each user.

Hence the formnames in 2nd order page will be same as formname in "My affiliate settings" for the user who checked out.

Even willing to pay $97 for this feature to be added.

I would not want the affiliate settings to be affected by what I ask for on the 2nd order page. I ONLY ask for first and last name for that form as
asking for more info there affects conversion rates.

However for affilaites, I sometimes need additional info in order to pay
them. And I tell them that when they access their affiliate istructions.
