Custom Tag Plugin Query

Hi all

Recently purchased the Custom Tags plugin (amongst others) and wanted to ask a couple of questions.

1) I prefer to edit my sales pages in Dreamweaver and just upload it to my server directly but I can't seem to get the custom tags to work if I do this and DO NOT paste it into the sales page template inside the package. Is it possible to get the custom tags to work WITHOUT using the Delavo Editor and without copying and pasting the HTML into the Package Sales Page Template? I can get 100% commissions to work directly from a url like http://www.mysqueezepagesystem.com/?aff_id=4 but the custom tags do not. (PLEASE NOTE: This is only an EXAMPLE - I am NOT currently selling this product - just doing some testing so it's not a live actual affiliate link :-) Just wanted to post this so I can show you specifically what I am referring to)

I have tried adding the domain name to the External homepage URL
in the package but still no joy.

Anyone know the answer to this?

The reason I ask is that I want to create several 100% commissions sites that are fully customized with an affiliate's name etc. But if they promote it as http://digi-sell.com/jvm2/1214gl/4/ then the address bar in IE still shows that url rather than http://www.mysqueezepagesystem.com

Hi Aaron,

The custom tags (as far as I am aware) can only be used to configure the affilites details within their affiliate account and are to be hosted pages in your Delavo installation.

To do - more or less what you describe, I use the quick resell function instead and that way I can control the price of the items being sold too as well as which affiliate group gets access to it and whether it is 100% or they pay me a royalty.

I might grab the Quick Resell Plugin then too. Would that then allow the page to be customized with the affiliates personal details (maybe even an opt-in form of their own) WITHOUT me having to copy and paste the sales page template into the Delavo package?

Sorry for all the questions... I just want to get this clear in my head. I LOVE running my businesses with Delavo but if I am also considering the option of getting a standalone custom script made (but of course my first preference is Delavo!)

Hi Aaron,

Well, the way I do it is to let them host their own page on their own server so whatever needs to be done is done either by me or them.

To then use their quick resell package, they have to be assigned a role and affilite group only for them and the products (memberships) etc. are duplicated also only for them - they can then access these through their member area and import the reseller packages from there and access their links to be placed in their own pages.

It is quite a laborious process which I only do for special customers as I do it all for them.

The way I do it is probably not the easiest way but it means I can do this as a very personalized package.

It is something that would need a manual to be written really to explain it properly.
