Is it possible to use page stamping and link parsing on a site outside Delavo and outside the site that funnels the sales.

So, if I have site A with sales pages and order links and Delavo resides on site A... and I have JV with someone that has another site B that is completely separate in function... can site be use the same stamping and parsing through to the order pages on Delavo and affiliates will be credited if the customer is returning through site B?

Make sense?

Hi Jeff

No you can't. The sales page can be stamped but the order pages need
to use Delavo in order to parse the affiliate ID. So if the order pages are
outside Delavo, it won't work.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ok, "Site B" can stamp pages, right?

I wasn't putting order pages anywhere else, just the sales page. So, can Site B parse a link using the Delavo link structure, to the order page over at Site A where Delavo resides? In other words, can sales pages on any other site parse an order link over to my Delavo order page on my site and track the customer?

Hi Jeff

Correct.

As long as the 2 JVs are stamped on the sales page, it will work. It is the
same as any other external homepage.

So, if it's an offsite sales page ... a JV ... site B ... does that site only have to stamp the page and not worry about the link parsing?

In fact, I have a question on this because some of it is not making sense... if an outside site links, say, directly to an order page (not an affiliate, but just using the package link), why is it not picking up the previous customer and crediting the affiliate. I have my Delavo set to "Credit commissions to the last affiliate," so if someone buys from Affiliate #1's link and then returns directly to an order page via a package link with no affiliate designation, why is the affiliate credit not picking up?

I thought it should be picking up the cookie unless they come through another affiliate link or clear their cookies. But, in this case, they are coming through an original order page link and it's not picking up cookies.

Hi Jeff

The outside sales page much have both JS codes in order to work
correctly. That is the one directly below the <body> tag and the other
for the payment link/button.

The payment link/button JS must include Delavo's order page link.

This should be no different then using an external sales page.

Also, if there is a squeeze page before the sales page or a page directly
between the sales page and Delavo's order page., the Aff ID will not carry
over.

If you have checked the last affiliate, then if linking directly to the order page,
you actually have no affiliate sending anyone to that order page so Delavo
cannot credit one. This is because when you check that box that means you
are crediting the affiliate that is sending the customer right now and if there isn't
an actual affiliate, then there is no one to credit.
