Hi,
In an effort to satisfy the majority of questions.
Follow instructions precisely.
The 1.2 version of the download does not have an upgrade file - the procedure has been changed and when you run the install/upgrade file (CHMOD to 755), you will see that it is the same file for both new installations and for upgrading existing installations and you will be offered a choice of a new installation or to upgrade your existing installation.
* 1.18 to Delavo 1.2
Backup your database and directory structure (for any script not only Delavo)
Follow the four step instructions from your upgrade e-mail.
Use the 1.2 version for the Delavo upgrade.
Test that at least one package is working correctly from beginning to end.
* 1.0 to Delavo 1.2
Backup your database and directory structure (for any script not only Delavo)
Use the 1.2 version for the Delavo upgrade.
Test that at least one package is working correctly from beginning to end.
* 1.1 to Delavo 1.2
Backup your database and directory structure (for any script not only Delavo)
Use the 1.2 version for the Delavo upgrade.
Test that at least one package is working correctly from beginning to end.
There is no need to delete anything.
You will know if the upgrade has been applied in the Help/Check Version screen (at the top it will say 1.2).
After your upgrade - remove the files from you public_html directory that you uploaded before the upgrade.

Brian,
I received the email from John on release of version 1.2 for Delavo - and read that the upgrade has to be done manually. As per the instructions in the email, I logged in to use-sell.com/2, but I was unable to find the download link to upgrade to version1.2
So I wrote to helpdesk for help and it gave me a link to download v1.2, and I downloaded the version 1.2 Delavo
It appears to be a version for fresh installation. Here's why:
I have looked at Fantasos Manual (the pdf document) on manually upgrading to a newer version and tried to find the 3 files to be uploaded to the server: but could not find them inside the zipped 1.2v folder I downloaded.
Kindly help me with:The delatiled process to manually upgrade Delavo from my 1.1 version to 1.2 version.
Thanks
-Ashish

Hi Ashish,
I have changed my post above to explain that the procedure has changed - instead of a seperate upgrade file - you have only one now that can be run and inside you will find two choices - to upgrade or do a fresh installation.

Brian
do I need to run? I tried the xxxxxx.cgi and get an error message:
The requested URL /xxx.cgi/xxxxxx.cgi was not found on this server.
Also, since I tried to install the new Delavo my ContePass has gone offline with the same type of message about the missing /xxx.cgi file or directory.
Until I can get this fixed I can't go live with this site. I reported the problem to the help desk at least 2 days ago and no resolution yet.

Hi Brian
I'm struggling with step 18
I have delavo set up in a directory...
Please can you correct my thoughts on this...
I upload all files to root, then follow steps 19-31 then delete these files as in step 32.
I don't have contepass

Hi Wayne,
When you downloaded your v1.2 upgrade, there are two files inside that you need to upload to the public_html directory of your website 1 x .cgi and 1 x .zip (not the main .zip the one inside it).

Hi Brian
Thanks for all your help on this.
I am doing the upgrade for 1.2 from 1.1 and have delavo in a directory called "dm1"
Can not get the cgi script to run from "root" and Hostgator told me it must be in the "cgi-bin" that they have. (which is interesting because I did not use on original install a couple months ago)
So I run from "cgi-bin" and Delavo.cgi now will give me the prompts.
But... when entering "dm1" as the directory it gives this error...
"Failed to locate main script file. Perhaps, you entered wrong DELAVO directory"
Any ideas of direction to go?

Hi William,
Unless things have changed at Hostgator in the last few days, the script should run from the public_html directory once permissions have been set to 755.
What they have suggested will not work for upgrading your Delavo.
They need to make sure you have .cgi run capabilities in the root public_html and add an exception on their firewall for the installed directory.

Hi Yuan,
Did the downloads work correctly before the upgrade?
This is generally caused by a problem with your hosting account, have you talked to your hosting provider?
I have not heard any problems after upgrade.

Yes, it works before.
I just find out today, I am still trying to find out the problems.
I guess it is on permissions for some script ....
on htaccess I find :
^thank\-([a-z0-9]{8})([0-9]+)/download/([a-z]+[0-9]+)/ rewrite to
action/Jin/Download/fetch.html?source=$3&sale_id=$2&signature=$1 [NE,L,QSA]
I will update if I found the problems
