Hi There,

I have set up subscription products in Delavo using Paypal as the payment gateway, but Paypal is not accepting the link that goes through and says return to vendor and check the link.

I tested the same product BUT unchecked PayPal in the "subscription Area" and PayPal accepts the link and shows the payment page.

Link with the subscription box ticked for Paypal
(I substituted MYWEBSITE for THE actual URL that was used)

Link with the subscription box NOT ticked for Paypal

IN THE SUBSCRIPTION AREA OF THE PRODUCT
===================================

in the "initiate subscription column" I ticked the PayPal box

in the "Initiate Subscription internally in Delavo" I didnt tick anything as
the PayPal box could not be ticked.

Billing Cycle length 365
Billing Cycle Unit Yearly

Would appreciate any solutions you can offer for this. Seems like it should work.

Many Many Thanks

Carl :-)

Hi Carl,

I notice that the payment processor manual has been released today - perhaps check it against that.

Brian

P.S. there is a specific forum for payment processors.

Carl

I have 7 membershps set up through Paypal/Delavo and they all work fine.

So it has to be with the way you have it set up in either Paypal or Delavo.

Hi Brian, Donna,

Thanks for your posts.

I have checked PayPal and it's set up right and the product and the package looks right. I went through the new payment manual in the paypal section.

Is there a specific video or part of any manual that deals with the actual setting up of the subscriptions in a product? Are there any particular features of the package I need to enable for a subscription to work.

I have read the paymants and processors manual, the mebership manual, the products and packages manual, and the videos. Ive pretty much read everything .

Is it possible that any of the other seven people who have successfully set up a subscription using paypal could let me know what "features" they checked the boxes of on the product page please?

This is a box in the product set up page my eye was drawn to:

***"Embedded product(s)for recurring installments"

Should I do anything with this?

Many Many Thanks

Carl :-)

Hi There,

I checked my PayPal account and I have a "" * Account Type: Premier
* Status: Verified

I have about 580 verified sales.

Is this sufficient to run subscriptions?

Many Thanks

Carl :-)

I noticed you said you had 7 memberships set up.

I am not setting up a membership as a subscription.

I am selling "roles"-

Has anyone had success in setting up "roles" as a subscription and making it work using Paypal.

Many Thanks

Carl :-)

Hi There,

Just to let you know I am looking at all alternatives...

I got this as a system message when I used the "Embedded products for recurring installments option"

* cannot be selected as "Embedded" because it provides a looped link *

Perhaps someone else might be able to test "selling a role" as a product within a package of multiple products, via paypal.

Many Many Thanks

Carl ;-)

Hi Mike ,

Thanks !!! a million!

Simple solution. I was putting Days in the the billing cycle length and doing the unit as monthly. In similar fashion with the annual.

So its no wonder PayPal rejected a subscription renewing every 365 years!

Many Many Thanks!!!

Thansk for the answer,I got a maestro Card from my Bank wich is a debit card I guess. Ive read a minute ago that maestro can only be used for internet payment in austria or swiss. Thers no security code on it. Basically its a "sub" card of Mastercard. It seems that it is not possible to pay with this card. But what about direct debit? Bankeinzug Or Invoice payment?

I am not sure what your question is. Payment to use for what?
