What's the suggested way to create a butterfly minisite?

Hi,

I like the idea of creating a mini site - but lost in how to properly do one with Delavo.

The minisite feature only pertains to the local DELAVO install, hence, my question is -

What's the recommended way to do one minisite?

Wordpress + wpwishlist? Minisite provided by Delavo?

I tried Contepass in the past but found it not working from my end - it has a lot of weird symbols & not working from my end due to some language setting problems (I think?!) Hence, Contepass is excluded.

If I use minisite model, then I will need another Delavo license for that particular site? and then link it back to my main Delavo site via Delavo to Delavo plugins?

Would you be kind enough to advise?

I use a variety of methods:

Same domain as main Delavo - Pages Plugin, Minisites
Different Domain With Second Delavo - John's Little Script For Creating A Membership Site
Different Domain With Contepass - 3rd Party Script Plugin, Contepass Plugin
Different Domain With Wishlist - 3rd Party Script Plugin, Wishlist, Wordpress Plugin
Different Domain With NMGS - 3rd Party Script Plugin, No More Gray Screens Enabled
Different Domain With Remote Membership - Basic Delavo

I often do different domain with John's Little Script.

In other words, the membership content is developed using XSitePro, protected by Delavo and login interface is using John's Little Script.

No problems so far.



Hey, now that we are talking about "Butterfly" minisite, can I know if there is a way to allow multiple-level of users?

That means, the user may sign up as a "Bronze" member, he can sign up to become "Silver" in the membership, etc.

I initially thought that it's possible, by creating multiple products in a package. However, it doesn't seem to 'delete' the old membership level upon creation of new membership level.

I did not know there were so many different ways to achieving a minisite with Delavo.

I have not used JLS, although I've seen it mentioned in various places. Does the script come with TM? or need to separately purchased? or can it be purchased via points in the vault?

Thanks for your added sharing of experience. I think you've got a good idea of using XSP to create the provided content.

The 1 thing I like about Mike F's Butterfly Marketing site concept is that the link itself create a single-focused purpose - letting people to promote the site without any distraction. By using Delavo to do the remote hosting, it would create confusion - but still worth a trial. Will check out JLS.
