When I try to save my homepage template after copying and pasting the source code in I get this error message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [e-mail removed] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.9 Server at [domain removed] Port 80

Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana,

This is generally due to a mis-configuration of your hosting account - which is not allowing Delavo to write the changes.

Is there anything I can do to fix it? I am hosting through my turbo account.

Hi Diana,

I have just checked your hosting account - you have something (possibly Delavo) installed in the root (public_html) directory, the recommended way of installing Delavo is in a sub-directory (for example public_html/delavo) this is probably why you are having the other problem too.

Brian,

I have delavo installed in an add on domain at (mydomainname).com/d. Should I have it installed in my main domain name instead? I really don't understand all this very well.

Thanks for your help

Hi Diana,

There is something installed on yourdomain.com that is upsetting the domain, I don't know what it is - you need to tell me please.

I would love to tell you but I have absolutely no clue what it is. Is there some way someone could help me on this?

Hi Diana,

There are two possible routes you can take.

1. Get some professional help (paid)
2. Learn at your own pace through lots of resources on the internet for webmastering.

Do you have any recommendations for paid help? I would try to learn it on my own but I don't know what it is exactly I'm looking for!

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana,

My recommendation would be the paid help offered by the Internet Company Teams within your Delavo membership area.

Hi Diana,

Is the Internal Server Error accross the board?

Meaning are you able to load the default templete back into your homepage or did this process create a problem for the entire Delavo installed.

If the Internal Server Error is only prompted when viewing the homepage then it's possible there's a part inside the code you are adding that is causing the issue.

Best Regards,
