As you have seen (starting from March 2010) Delavo is being delivered by www.DelavoSecure.com/2 (http://www.delavosecure.com/2).

Customers get Delavo 2 free of charge and can then upgrade their membership by choosing one of the offered subscriptions: Bronze, Silver, Gold. Each subscriptions delivers different packages of Plugins. You can preview the packages of the Plugins included to each subscription at http://delavo.com/subscription-levels.html

Delavo 2

The new version of Delavo, Delavo 2, is the same with the Delavo that used to be delivered until March 2010 with 3 differences:


Roles have been deactivated
Resellers' system has been deactivated
We have added a great many new features and will continue to do so!

Side note: we'll be re-establishing the Roles' functionality in a different way in a future upgrade. Delavo 2 will be constantly improved and we'll keep you informed as it improves.

Thus, new customers that download Delavo 2 today at www.Delavo.com (http://www.delavo.com/) get the same Delavo system that had been distributed until March 2010, but without the Roles & Resellers' functionality. Additionally, new customers also get some Plugins free. Again you can preview the packages of the Plugins included to each subscription at http://delavo.com/subscription-levels.html

Customers that had obtained Delavo until March 2010 have 2 options:


Either to upgrade your existing Delavo to version 2
Or to do nothing.

By upgrading your Delavo version to Delavo 2 you will be able to get the NEW Plugins added to the current SILVER level of Delavo. For that reason, a new membership has been created for you at www.Delavo.com/Silver (http://www.delavo.com/Silver) through which you will be able to download the new Plugins in the future and use them - again, given that you will upgrade your Delavo to version 2.

By not upgrading to Delavo 2, you can still use your Delavo, but without the chance to get the new Plugins, or enjoying the benefits of the complimentary Silver membership to the area that has been created for you at www.Delavo.com/Silver (http://www.delavo.com/Silver). Again, the access to www.Delavo.com/Silver (http://www.delavo.com/Silver) equals to the access at www.DelavoSecure.com/members/silver (http://www.delavosecure.com/members/silver) new customers enjoy for $197 per month.


Should you upgrade your Delavo to version 2?

If you do not offer hosted Delavo accounts and also if you do not use the Resellers' mechanism, then yes, definitely.

Otherwise you need FIRST to tell your customers to

a) download the new Delavo 2 at www.Delavo.com (http://www.delavo.com/), and
b) move their hosted Delavo account's data to their Delavo installation.

Once all of your hosted accounts' customers have moved their data, and given that you do not use the Resellers' mechanism either, THEN you may upgrade your Delavo to version 2.

We are currently working on providing you with the instructions you need in order to guide your hosted accounts' customers on how to move their data from your Delavo to their Delavo 2 installation. Once we are ready, you will get the instructions ASAP.

New affiliate program

You will need to update your affiliate links for promoting Delavo.
You can sign up at www.DelavoSecure.com/2 (http://www.DelavoSecure.com/2) - no need to register again if are already a user.
The new affiliate program pays 45% RECURRING commissions on tier 1 and 5% recurring commissions on tier 2.

Starting from March 2010, support is offered by Construct Zero at http://support.constructzero.com (http://support.constructzero.com/), thus please refrain from using www.TurboHelpdesk.com (http://www.turbohelpdesk.com/) for any technical question related to Delavo.

Q. Where can I get Delavo version 2?
A. At www.DelavoSecure.com/licenses (http://www.DelavoSecure.com/licenses)

Q. What will happen with my Plugins if I upgrade to Delavo 2?
A. The Plugins you already have obtained are not affected by the upgrade of your Delavo to version 2.

Q. Do I need to get a Bronze and/or a Silver subscription as offered by Delavo.com?
A. Yes and No. No, because you get a Silver membership gratis that can be reached at www.Delavo.com/Silver (http://www.delavo.com/Silver) until February 28, 2011, thus you will be getting the new Plugins added to the Silver membership through the aforementioned area. YES, if you had not obtained the Plugins offered by the current Silver subscription as pointed by http://delavo.com/subscription-levels.html. In simple words: the free access to www.Delavo.com/Silver (http://www.delavo.com/Silver) to existing Delavo customers do not ADD Plugins that had not been bought to their accounts, but instead offers the new Plugins that will be offered in the future. Thus, if you still need to get any Plugins you need to get any of the new subscriptions offered today.

Q. Do I need to get a Gold subscription as offered by Delavo.com?
A. Yes, if you are interested to get any of the Plugins offered by that membership.

Q. Can I order Plugins separately?
A. No. Plugins won't be available separately, thus one has to be a member in order to download the corresponding Plugin/s offered by each membership level.

Q. I am a charter Fantasos/Delavo member and pay an annual subscription for support - should I keep that subscription?
A. No, please cancel that subscription A.S.A.P.

Q. I have an active subscription with Club Delavo Card - should I keep that subscription?
A. You can cancel that subscription if you do not upgrade your Delavo to version 2 and/or if you do not plan to get a Gold membership. Otherwise you can keep that subscription and have a $10 discount in order to subscribe with the subscription that offers access to the Gold membership for $497 per month.

Q. I am a Delavo Ambassador - what is the new status for me?
A. Since Delavo is now offered for free, Ambassadors get the privilege to get listed to our Experts' pages. You can offer your services as a Delavo Angel or a Delavo host. You can submit your listing at http://delavosecure.com/experts and we shall be sending you customers through that area.

Q. I want to become a Delavo Angel and offer my services to your customers - what should I need to do?
Contact us at transition AT delavo.com. Once you prove your expertise to us then you can submit your application.

Q. I want to offer my hosting services to your customers - what should I do?
A. If you manage a dedicated server that meets the technical requirements of Delavo, then you can submit your application. We reserve the right to accept and/or deny a listing to the Delavo Hosts' services.

Q. What does it mean that Roles won't be offered by Delavo 2?
A. Delavo 2 won’t offer the ability to deliver hosted accounts. Also there won’t be the “Resellers” tab anymore.

Q. What if I keep my version and not upgrade to Delavo 2.0? Can I then continue offering hosted accounts?
A. Practically yes. However that also means you won’t be able to get all the future updates of Delavo. Also as you will soon see it's of your interest to follow the evolution of Delavo.

Q. Will you offer hosted accounts?
A. No. ALL people that currently have a hosted account will get Delavo 2.0 for free so they can host it on any server. We shall offer specific instructions on how they can get their data from the hosted account and transfer them to their own Delavo 2.0

Q. What about the customers' and affiliates' Roles?
A. Those "roles" will become an internal part of Delavo.

Q. Does that mean that any updates to Delavo from here on out will require some kind of membership subscription?
A. You do not pay anything for upgrading to Delavo 2 and all of your existing Plugins are not affected. The memberships level are related to the NEW Plugins released. The NEW Plugins will work with Delavo 2 only.

Q. Will new customers have to pay for Delavo?
A. No. We shall continue offering Delavo for free as usual. Plus, new customers also get some Plugins for free.

Q. Will existing customers have to pay for the Plugins?
A. For the Plugins released in the future yes - through a membership level as described above.

Q. Why should I get a membership in the future instead of ordering the Plugins as usual?
A. As said, there is no obligation for existing customers to reserve a membership. However, getting a membership related to the Plugins will be the only way for you to get the Plugins offered in the future.

Q. I have only started to work on Delavo and I wanted to offer hosting accounts... what now?
A. Instead of offering hosted accounts, you can direct people to get Delavo for free through your affiliate link. Then if/when the customers you referred want to get a membership plan for accessing Delavo’s Plugins for their installation, you will be getting the recurring commissions. With the support we can provide to customers it's obvious what is the better plan here.

Q. I master Delavo. Can you send me customers to serve?
A. Yes. Please contact us to transition AT delavo.com. We shall be happy to send you customers indeed without asking anything in return. Of course, you need to prove to us that you master Delavo indeed.

It's the first time I hear about this and we had until February 28? Or am I
missing something?

Talking about this section, those who are already registered in there believe
it would be more fair and normal if it was working like first come first served
basis for the order of the listing. Obviously those who registered in first are
there for a reason and it is not normal that they'd get burried down the list
over time like it is aclually happening. 8) It's not a blog so that logic shouldn't
really apply here, no? So a reverse listing should apply I believe.
